Many Civilians Detained in Qabri Dahar

Feb 05, 2007 The Ethiopian colonial dictatorship in Addis Ababa is reported to have sent
a high-ranking member of the Tigrian militia forces to the city of Qabri Dahar. The high-ranking militia member who has since reached the city of Qabri Dahar is said to have been accompanied by Somalis with close ties to the Ethiopian military.

It is reported that the mission of this high ranking member and his Somali spies is to implement new tactics intended to increase the extra judicial killings and detentions of innocent civilians in and around the city of Qabri Dahar.

The high ranking militia member and his Somali spies are said to have convened a meeting for the city dwellers. In the meeting, the city dwellers were asked to volunteer to the Tigrian forces that have had difficult time so far to confront Ogaden National Liberation Forces, ONLF, in many parts of Ogaden.

Instead of accepting the proposal to volunteer to the Tigrian forces, many city dwellers present in this meeting are reported to have told in no uncertain terms that it is the job of the Ethiopian military and its affiliated militias to fight with ONLF.

It is said that the high-ranking visitor was visibly upset by the response from the civilians present in the meeting. Eye witnesses present in the meeting who were seated not far from this visitor have told the Ogaden Online reporter in Qabri Dahar that he, the high ranking visitor, told his hosts to end the meeting immediately.
