Ethiopian Fabrications about Obole Incident
|
Press Release
31 march 2008
The
Ethiopian government claim, that it arrested
eight members of ONLF involved in the Obole
oil incidence is
fabricated and intended to divert attention
from its ongoing genocide against the Ogaden
people. The Ogaden Somali people are
currently under the grips of prolonged dry
period further exacerbated by the
Ethiopian government blockade of the Ogaden.
Some of the people are at this very moment
dying of hunger and thirst, and the
Ethiopian government chose this moment to
issue such a preposterous claim in order to
gloat over the suffering of the Ogaden
people. It is a well known fact that
Ethiopia considers all the Ogaden
people as ONLF members after the people
resisted its attempts to force them to fight
ONLF.
The Ogaden National Liberation Army and
Members that dislodged the Ethiopian army
and the Exploiters from
Obole are safe and not in the custody of
Ethiopia. Instead of facing the might of the
Ogaden National
Liberation Army, Ethiopia has opted for soft
targets and has being committing genocide
against unarmed
civilians, conducting extrajudicial killings
imprisonment and rape. Ethiopia has been
encouraged to
commit unprecedented atrocities in Ogaden by
the indifference of some parts of the
international
community of the Ogaden people's plights.
The Ogaden National Liberation Front will
continue to thwart any attempt to steal the
natural resources of
the Ogaden people until they institute a
genuine democratic government that
represents them.
