Horn of Africa Foundation (HOAF)
HOAF is small charity that aims to support local communities mainly B.A.M.E’s who may have some specific needs than others. We focus on communities from East Africa especially those originally from Somalia, Ethiopia and Kenya.
Our current project (In this to gather) funded by Community Fund provides information advice and signposting as well as food delivery support to people from East African backgrounds across Hounslow Ealing Hillingdon Harrow and Brent.
The project aims to raise community awareness about COVID-19, the vaccination and provide advice on different services including
- Benefit advice and form completion support
- Grant and other financial support
- Housing matters advice and referral
- Health and well-being
- Employment and trainings.
In this together project will focus on elderly and lonely individuals, disable and their carers but also open to support any members of the community.
